About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join Softwareact. In this role, you will become a key part of a team of developers building frontend and backend services to support SaaS eCommerce platforms.
Responsibilities
Interpret business needs and technical specifications to deliver a technical solution within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Write code according to coding standards, document and implement automated test scenarios, and maintain technical documentation.
Set up and maintain deployment systems, and participate in manual testing.
Provide technical guidance to the development team and perform maintenance development.
Investigate, analyze, and fix defects, and provide support to customers out-of-hours.
Provide progress reports, participate in project planning meetings, and create business requirements and technical specification documents.
Requirements
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of development experience in a commercial environment.
Experience in communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for client-side and server-side programming, experience with FaaS platforms and popular Node frameworks, and integration with NoSQL data stores.
Experience working with cloud platforms and third-party REST and GraphQL APIs.
Familiarity with unit testing using Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library, full-length software lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
Advanced experience with Git, HTTP/H2 protocols, and web application security.
Nice to have:
At least 1 year of software development experience on an e-commerce platform.
Experience in managing tasks and timelines of a development team in a commercial environment, using React, and Docker, and integrating with relational databases.
Familiarity with APIs implementing HATEOAS+HAL, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket), PCI compliance, and working with servers over SSH.
