About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join Softwareact. In this role you'll work closely with the Delivery Product Owner to assess the architecture and design process for improving design visibility, feature prioritization, application development, and IT delivery progress and reporting in a fast-growing digital business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a well-documented pipeline of work (tasks, user stories, epics, etc.) in the product backlog and ensure that acceptance criteria are agreed upon with the development team.

  • Identify opportunities for data insight and review data models to suggest improvements and address any defects.

  • Participate in discovery with the product team and client, taking ownership of the technical solutions.

  • Conduct workshops and discussions to gather requirements and achieve a shared understanding of data and insight needs.

  • Propose implementation plans for data analysis work, including estimated effort and technical implications of data insight products.

  • Serve as a liaison between the product owner and the technical team to ensure that technical development outputs meet business requirements.

  • Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards with recommended solutions

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages.

  • Familiarity with Postman.

  • Ability to quickly learn and enjoy work iteratively without a complete specification, and to pivot when necessary.

  • Familiarity with case tools like Jira and Confluence, as well as research tools, web analytics, and data analysis.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

  • The ideal candidate should have a passion for retail analytics and possess the skills necessary to deliver complex data solutions.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and the development team to ensure the successful delivery of the retail analytics platform.

Nice to have: 


  • Experience working with other data warehousings technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery

  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools

  • Understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques

  • Experience in the retail, banking, or e-commerce industry

Language

  • English – Fluent in Speaking and Writing
